Follows Tillis Condemning Cunningham’s PPP Lies And Hypocrisy In Recent Interviews
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Tillis for Senate campaign today launched a new digital adhighlighting Cal Cunningham’s lack of transparency about his compensation from WasteZero, his company that received a Paycheck Protection Program loan even as Cunningham was criticizing the initiative. The ad is part of an ongoing paid media effort to contrast Senator Tillis’ pro-jobs agenda with Cal Cunningham’s PPP lies and hypocrisy.
“The questions about Cal Cunningham’s PPP lies and hypocrisy continue to pile up and he has a responsibility to address them,” said Tillis campaign spokesman Andrew Romeo. “If he truly has nothing to hide and cares about PPP transparency, Cunningham should practice what he preaches and release the details of all his compensation from WasteZero since March 20th, the day he falsely claimed he left the company.”

In interviews with WXII-Greensboro and Fox46-Charlotte this week, Tillis has slammed Cunningham for hypocritically criticizing the PPP, which saved one million North Carolina jobs. In light of Cunningham’s insistence that the PPP should be more transparent, Tillis last week also called on Cunningham and WasteZero to release the details of his work for the company that would shed light on whether or not he personally benefited from the program. Cunningham, in an interview with Spectrum News last week, declined to provide specifics about when he was last paid by WasteZero
